After a 4-year stint in the U.S. Navy, Lombardo earned a degree in accounting and began his practice. However, it wasn’t long before his love of autos lead him to become the controller in a large dealer group.
Over the next 30 years, he held various positions in a number of New York and New Jersey dealer groups. It was during this period that Lombardo gained valuable experience into how the auto industry ticked.
“I gained experience in every department and function involved with the proper operation of auto dealerships.” he said. “I had the opportunity to work closely with a number of manufacturers and played a key role in the development of dealership accounting manuals for a major car builder.”
Armed with this experience, Lombardo left the retail automotive industry 14 years ago and joined an advertising agency that specialized in auto dealer marketing. He ultimately took ownership of that company, and produced advertising campaigns for dealership groups across the New York Metro area.
It was during this period that Lombardo began to realize the internet's impact the on the retail auto industry. He found that despite promising to the simplify the car buying process, what developed was anything but. Knowing there had to be a better way, Lombardo set out to do just that.
The result of his efforts is accuecar.com, the engine that drives Daily Voice Autos. "We invite you to experience all the features we have created in our Daily Voice Autos that will finally allow you to experience a more intuitive and better defined auto search," said Lombardo. For the first time ever, shoppers can see real dealers prices complete with accurate rebates and monthly payments all without contacting a dealer. It truly is 'Car Buying Perfected'.
