Hole In One: Oakland Public Library Tees It Up For Local Children

OAKLAND, N.J. -- Although the weather has been cold and damp so far this spring, it was still a great day to play 18 thanks to the New Friends of the Oakland Public Library and several local businesses.

Miniature golfers took to the course earlier this month at the Oakland Public Library.

Earlier this month, the Oakland Public Library was converted into a 18 hole miniature golf course and attracted young golfers from across the area. For those who worked up an appetite during the round, the 19th hole featured Sabrett hot dogs from Mike's Dog House.

All in all than 400 parents and children attended took to the course.

"It was a great event that was supported by numerous Oakland based businesses," said Chopper Russo, whose Chopper Russo Real Estate Group was one of the event's sponsors and helped out through out the evening.
