OAKLAND, N.J. -- Doing some spring cleaning? Donate your unused good for a good cause in the Oakland Town-Wide Garage sale next month. Sponsored by the Oakland Newcomers & Neighbors Club, this event helps residents clean their clutter and give back to the community.

The garage sale will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. -- rain or shine. To register your house, send your name, address and telephone plus a list of items you are selling with a check for $15, made payable to “Oakland Newcomers & Neighbors Club” to:

Registration Includes:

  • Your address included on a map and a listing of all your items, distributed at the Oakland Public Library starting at 8:45 a.m. on Garage Sale day.
  • Advertising in all local papers (Record, Herald and Suburban News) and online in the Oakland Journal, Oakland public schools, Craigslist, local Facebook pages and on TV Channel 77.
  • If you wish to have your unsold items picked up by the Vets on Monday, May 9th, please note this in your registration correspondence. We will advise them one week prior.

Deadline to receive registrations is May 2nd.

Registration proceeds are donated to schools and civic organizations in Oakland. The event is sponsored by O.N.N.C.
