Tom Dunn is to lead the talk, which will focus on the newspaper’s efforts to cover the lives of the ordinary and extraordinary people of Ramsey, Mahwah, Allendale, Upper Saddle River, Saddle River and Waldwick during decades of war, economic depression and post-war suburbanization.
The June 19 event is set to begin at 1:15 p.m. Seating is limited, so those planning to attend are urged to make reservations in advance. To make a reservation, email gallerytalks@mahwahmuseum.org or call 201-512-0099.
Dunn’s talk is set to occur after a previously scheduled discussion on the newspaper in mid-May was cancelled. John Y. Dater II, whose family owned and operated the paper until it was sold in 1967, was to speak during the that event.
The Mahwah Museum at 201 Franklin Turnpike is open on weekends and on Wednesdays through June 22. The Old Station Museum and Caboose, which is run in conjunction with the Mahwah Museum, is to open on June 26 and will be open from 2-4 p.m. during each Sunday through the end of the summer.
For more information, visit the Mahwah Museum online or call 201-512-0099.
