Alzheimer's Symposium Arrives In Mahwah April 17

MAHWAH, N.J. -- Residents of Mahwah and surrounded communities are welcome to attend a Mayor's Wellness Event, in the form of a free "Alzheimer's Dementia Symposium" on Sunday, April 17.

Brandywine Senior Living is hosting a seminar on Alzheimer's dementia. Physical exercise is one factor that can improve the quality of life for those experiencing it.

The event is hosted by the Brandywine Senior Living facility, in Mahwah. In addition to various talks, the event will feature a light lunch.

Here's the event schedule:

11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. -- financial and legal considerations
12:30-1:30 p.m. -- differences between normal aging and dementia
1:45-2:45 p.m. -- reluctance to care
2:50-4 p.m. -- care options and community resources
