“Thankfully, everyone is safe, but we will need to close temporarily as we begin the process of rebuilding,” wrote the team behind The Four Leaves, located in Park Ridge.

The fire, which was caused by defective cooking equipment, forced the restaurant to halt operations.

Owners Eamon Donnelly and Mike Madigan, who brought their vision of American fare with an Irish twist to the 3,500-square-foot space, say they’re committed to reopening stronger than ever.

“This is a challenging time for us, but we are determined to come back stronger than ever,” the announcement continues. “The support of our incredible community means everything to us, and we cannot express how much we appreciate each and every one of you.”

The team expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support they’ve received and promised to keep customers updated as they rebuild.

Four Leaves, which quickly became a local favorite for its upscale ambiance and unique menu offerings, looks forward to welcoming patrons back once renovations are complete.

“Thank you for your understanding and kindness during this time,” the owners wrote.

Stay tuned for updates from The Four Leaves as the beloved gastropub begins its journey to recovery.
