The alert went out after ex-con Adam Jaworski of Garfield snatched two bottles of Johnnie Walker black from a local liquor store and fled on a bicycle during Monday’s snowstorm, Capt. Wallington Crash Outside MVC Sends Driver To Hospital
A 31-year-old Wallington driver was hospitalized after a pre-dawn single-vehicle crash Thursday outside the local MVC office on Main Avenue. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after crashing his 2004 Honda Accord around 4:15 a.m., Wallington Police Chief Carmello Imbruglia said. Responders said the victim initially was knocked out but regained consciousness. The cause wasn't immediately determined.

Wallington Police Officer Nabs Bleeding Bicyclist In Car Burglary Spree
A bleeding bicyclist who caught the eye of a Wallington police officer turned out to be wanted for a recent rash of area car burglaries, authorities said. Officer Andy Kullaf spotted 28-year-old Ramon Cruz of Passaic riding the white and copper BMX near Stein and Pulaski avenues just before midnight Friday morning, Capt. Shawn Kudlacik said. Armed with description from Passaic police of a suspect with three nautical star tattoos on his right inside forearm, Kullaf stopped Cruz, who told him a fall from the bicycle made him bleed, the captain said.
