Steve Hinkle, a 28-year-old Woodland Park resident, has been courageously battling since he was diagnosed with having an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in his brain. Nelson Matos has been fighting for his life since his 17th birthday. The Nutley junior in high school recently awakened from a weekslong coma, and a fundraiser has been set up to help pay for his medical bills and medical equipment.
