Three teens were hospitalized in custody following a stolen vehicle pursuit from Secaucus that ended in an overnight crash in Little Ferry. Police were chasing a 2014 Dodge Durango reported stolen out of Weehawken when it veered off the road and slammed into an evergreen in the front yard of a home where Moonachie Road bends into Liberty Street. A Bronx man was arrested in Hudson County for driving a stolen car, authorities said. Brayan Donosoyanez, 27, was stopped at Columbia Avenue in North Bergen after police randomly checked the Texas Temporary Registration on the vehicle he was driving and determined it was stolen, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. The arrest was part of a new strategy to combat vehicle theft in the region, the chief said. Police arrested a man holding his girlfriend hostage after tracking his vehicle down in Bayonne during a tense pursuit that began in Secaucus Monday, authorities said. Police responded to the 300 block of Clarendon Street on reports of a victim being held against her will in a basement apartment around 3:15 p.m., Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Four teens from Newark were arrested for trying to burglarize vehicles in Secaucus before they led officers on a brief pursuit through town, authorities said Monday. Name Of Man Who Died In 9/11 Attacks Lives On Through New Secaucus Police K9
The name of a Secaucus resident who died in the 9/11 attacks will lives on through a newly-acquired Secaucus Police K-9 officer. The ten-month old German Shepherd, “Strobe," is named after Steven Strobert, a 33-year-old Cantor Fitzgerald broker who died in September 11, 2001 attack on the Twin Towers. Strobe was purchased from Connecticut Canine Services. Police: Man Busted With Meth At Hudson County Hotel
A keen-eyed patrol officer busted a man with methamphetamine at a Hudson County hotel last week, authorities said. An officer noticed a "suspicious car" parked in the lot of the Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway and found Joshua Rodriguez, 35, of Guttenberg just before 11 a.m., Tuesday, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Rodriguez was subsequently found in possession of methamphetamine, Miller said.
