In back-to-back accidents, a 65-year-old employee at the McDonald's in River Edge was struck crossing a busy nearby intersection Wednesday night, moments before a school bus crashed in front of the fast-food place, authorities said. The pedestrian, who lives in Hackensack, went in and out of consciousness after she was struck outside the Green Papaya restaurant at the corner of Kinderkamack and Grand avenues shortly after sunset on Jan. 10, River Edge Police Chief Michael Walker said. School Bus, SUV Collide Head-On In Paramus
No students were aboard a school bus from Bergenfield that collided head-on with an SUV Friday morning in Paramus. A Paramus EMS ambulance crew took the driver of the Nissan Kicks subcompact to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening following the crash on East Midland Avenue at From Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. Oct. 27. At least one person was injured in a school bus accident in Morris County, developing reports say. The crash occurred on Route 24 eastbound west of I-287 in Hanover around 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. No serious injuries were reported when a small school bus carrying a group of high schoolers slid into a utility pole in Hackensack during an icy morning filled with crashes throughout North Jersey. School Bus Carrying 12 Children Crashes In Jersey City
A school bus carrying a dozen students struck a parked car Monday morning in Jersey City. The privately-owned bus was parked near Stuyvesant Avenue and JFK Boulevard when it rolled into a parked vehicle around 10:10 a.m., city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. None of the students, ages 10 and 11, were injured. The driver of the other vehicle, however, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Wallace-Scalcione said.

Eight students and one adult were helped off of a school bus that veered off the road and into a utility pole, toppling power lines around 8:30 a.m. Monday. The Millington and Gillette students and the driver were helped off the bus after power was cut by JCP&L about 10 minutes after the crash, resulting in area outages.
