20,000 Pounds Of Empanadas Recalled By ShopRite ShopRite has recalled nearly 20,000 pounds of chicken and pork empanadas sold in approximately 30 New Jersey stores due to mislabeling of ingredients, federal officials said. The 19,757 pounds of empanadas contain egg, which is not listed in the ingredient statement on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. The fully cooked pork and chicken empanadas were produced between Oct. 7, 2017 and Feb. 12, 2018. There have been no reports of injuries.
