Woman Shot, Killed Along Railroad Tracks In Paterson (Update) A woman was shot and killed in Paterson early Wednesday morning, March 19, prompting an investigation, authorities said. Paterson Police responded to a shots fired call near 27th Street and 19th Avenue at approximately 3:12 a.m., according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray. When officers arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound. Tesla Causes Evacuation Of American Dream Mall (Update) Police have provided an update in the evacuation of the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford Tuesday evening, Oct. 8. Just after 5:30 p.m., American Dream security saw a Tesla legally parked on the ground level of the C parking deck with the driver’s side door left open and unattended, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.  As part of the protective measures, two American Dream K-9 units conducted initial sweeps of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert.  Out of an abundance of caution, the mall was evacuated. 'Trouble At The Hotel:' 2 Men Shot, 1 Dead In Fairfield (Update) Details have been released in a deadly shooting on Friday, Oct. 4 in Fairfield. One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting at the Ramada Inn on 2 Bridges Road around 12:30 p.m., Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna said. Secaucus PD: Routine Traffic Stop Turns Up Handgun Loaded With High-Capacity Magazine A routine motor vehicle stop turned up a handgun loaded with a high-capacity magazine and 23 bullets over the weekend in Secaucus, police said. Officer Michael Borrelli stopped a car at Paterson Plank Road and 1st Street for having tinted windows just before 1 p.m. Dec. 12, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. During the stop, Borrelli noticed a semi-automatic handgun right next to the driver's seat, Miller said. The handgun contained a 30-round magazine, loaded with 23 .45 caliber bullets, the chief said.
