A Jersey Shore man admitted in federal court on Thursday that he committed a series of violent assaults on members of the Jewish Orthodox community in and around Lakewood.
What became a rampage over roughly seven hours began when Dion Marsh, 29, of Manchester, dragged a "visibly identifiable" Orthodox Jew out of his car, beat him and sped off in the victim's vehicle on April 8, 2022, authorities said.

Four New Jersey residents were arrested for distributing heroin, fentanyl and cocaine following an investigation involving nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies, authorities said Thursday.
Kevin Collins, 37, and Daysha Kelly, 35, operated out of a Pine Beach home, while Elex Hyman, 49, and Jamie Steen, 38, used a Lakewood home, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
All four acted together to carry out the distribution scheme, Billhimer said.

Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 48-year-old woman from Brick Township in connection with Sunday's murder of her spouse, law enforcement officials said.
Mayra Gavilanez-Alectus, 48, of Brick Township, was charged with killing Rebecca Gavilanez-Alectus, 32, at their home using a wine container, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio said in a statement.
Gavilanez-Alectus also was charged with possessing a weapon, they said.

Prosecutor: Bodies Of Mother, 86, Son, 51, Found In Lakewood Home
Two bodies found in a Lakewood home by police conducting a welfare check were identified as an 86-year-old woman and her 56-year-old son, authorities said Friday.
The body of Fabiola Rubiano, 86, and James Rubiano, 51, both “appear to have extensive medical histories,” Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Billhimer didn’t indicate the suspected causes of death but said, rather, that an investigation by his Major Crime Unit, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, which collected evidence, was continuing.
