ShopWell Grocery Store Replacing Shuttered A&P Supermarket In Morris County
A ShopWell grocery store is coming to Morris County, officials said. An application has been filed for a 34,000 square-foot storefront occupying the former A&P location on Naughtright Road in Mount Olive Township, Mayor Rob Greenbaum said Friday. 127 Pounds Of Pot Seized During Route 80 Traffic Stop: State Police
More than 120 pounds of marijuana were found during a traffic stop on Route 80 last week, state police said. Gabino Lopez, 36, was found with 127 pounds of the substance after being stopped for a violation in the westbound lanes near milepost 25 in Mount Olive Township on Jan. 5, New Jersey State Police said in a Wednesday release. The total value was estimated at $317,500, police said. Lopez, of North Charleston, SC, was charged with possession of marijuana over six ounces and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. Missing Parsippany Man Found Dead On Icy Budd Lake
A missing Parsippany man was found dead on Budd Lake Sunday morning after a multi-agency search, authorities said. Parsippany police contacted the Mount Olive Township police for help finding a missing elderly man, whose vehicle was found in a private parking lot adjacent to Budd Lake around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Driver Gets 10 Years For Fatal Route 80 Paramus School Bus Crash
A former school bus driver was sentenced to a plea-bargained 10 years in prison Wednesday for causing a crash that killed a Paramus teacher and student in 2018 on Route 80 in Morris County. Hudy Muldrow, 79, formerly a bus driver for the Paramus School District, must serve at least five years and nine months before he is eligible for parole, under the terms of his plea agreement with Morris County prosecutors. Lawsuit: Walmart Worker Crushed Morris County Man's Hand With Shopping Carts
A Morris County man is suing Walmart, saying his hand was severely injured by a worker who apparently rammed him with a shopping cart. Roxbury Township resident Nicholas Puco claims he sustained “severe and disabling injuries” to his left hand at the Walmart on International Drive South in Mount Olive Township on April 19, 2019. The suit, which was filed in Morris County Superior Court, claims that the store is unsafe because its workers were not properly trained, monitored and supervised in the operation of work equipment.
