Passaic Sheriff's Chase Ends In Crash, Arrest For Gun, Drugs, More PATERSON, N.J. -- A pre-dawn Paterson chase ended in a crash and the arrest of a drug dealer who was carrying a loaded handgun, heroin and Xanax, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. PCSD Officer Patrick Holt tried pulling the car over Presidential Boulevard around 4 a.m. Thursday, but the driver, Clarence Chambers, hit the gas instead, Berdnik said. The chase continued onto Ryle Avenue before Chambers made a right onto Matlock Street and crash the vehicle into a parked car, the sheriff said.
