A 5-year-old Kentucky girl who was unresponsive and not breathing in her family's car on the side of Route 4 was saved by an off-duty sheriff's officer, Paramus police officer, and a doctor, officials said. Bergen County Sheriff's Sgt. : Softball Player Not Breathing, No Pulse Revived By New Milford Police
A player had just collapsed at New Milford's new softball field when police arrived and found an off-duty nurse tending to him. He wasn't breathing and had no pulse, Police Chief Brian Clancy said. Officers Dennis Calacione and Kyle Hill, Sgt. The family of a pair of brothers who drowned earlier this month at a pool in Bayonne have filed two civil claims for $50 million each, NJ Advance Media reports. Three lifeguards were on-duty at the Lincoln Community School on June 8 when 16-year-old Jack Jiang and 19-year-old Chu Ming Zheng drowned, police previously said. : Officers Revive Man At NJ Shooting Range
Three North Jersey officers are being hailed as heroes for performing life-saving measures on a man at a local gun range. Secaucus officer Philip Caruso found the 59-year-old victim without a pulse and not breathing when he arrived at Long Shot Gun Range around 8:30 a.m. June 12, Chief Dennis Miller said. Caruso began CPR as officers Matthew Kirvin and Kristen Bronowich arrived, and assisted. UPDATE: A firefighter and police officer saved the life of a junior firefighter from Ridgefield Park when he was critically injured in an explosion behind a village restaurant, authorities said Monday. Bergen County Worker, 75, Hospitalized After Heart Attack At Darlington Park
A 75-year-old Bergen County employee who had a heart attack behind the wheel of a county vehicle Thursday afternoon at Darlington County Park in Mahwah was later revived at the hospital, authorities said. The New Milford man was driving a pickup truck that "went off the path and into some brush" on a road along the golf course just after 3 p.m., township police Capt. Stuart Blank said.
