All of New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia are under a flood watch ahead of one big rain storm, or a combination of two different storms that will combine and head to the region this weekend. A helicopter operated out of an Essex County facility made an emergency landing at a Jersey Shore school field Thursday, March 14, authorities said. The commercial passenger helicopter operated by Zip Aviation of Caldwell touched down on a baseball field behind Middletown High School North, adjacent to Marvin Road, Middletown police said. A restaurant is re-opening along the Jersey Shore just in time for summer, and an expansion project will give customers many more options. Jersey Shore Restaurant Group (JSRG) purchased Breakers Kitchen & Tap on Route 9 in Waretown last year. NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore
A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt. No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

10 Heat-Related Incidents Hospitalize 4 During Jersey Shore Half-Marathon
Ten people suffered heat-related incidents at the 50th annual Jersey Shore half-marathon in Sandy Hook over the weekend, authorities said. Four runners were taken to the hospital from the popular race on Sunday, Oct. 1, according to a National Park Service spokeswoman. Six other racers refused medical attention, the spokeswoman said.
