Linden Nightclub Shooting Injures Three Victims
An argument that started inside of a Linden nightclub over the weekend ended in the shooting of three individuals, leaving two seriously injured, authorities said. A man involved went to his car during the argument at Menga Lounge on St. George's Avenue around 2:05 a.m. and returned with a gun, before firing several shots through the door into the vestibule on Saturday, Aug. 6, Linden police said. A 40-year-old man was caught in the act while authorities say he stole biodiesel from two Hunterdon County businesses. Officers responding to the first theft at a Readington Township business took a report of the suspect’s description from the owner around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, local police said. A trio from Irvington crashed a stolen BMW into a Maplewood home after a police pursuit through several towns, authorities said. Union police were called to a car burglary on Portland Road around 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 18. The suspect vehicle, a white BMW X5 stolen out of New York City the day before, was spotted on Springfield Avenue near Millburn Avenue in Millburn a short time later. Grocery Store Worker Among Three Dead In Series Of Essex County Shootings
Three people were killed in a series of weekend shootings in Essex County, authorities said. The first incident was on Friday, July 15 on Oak Street in East Orange, where Antwan McAdoo, 42, of North Carolina, was found with gunshot wounds, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Police recovered 19 illegal firearms, loaded magazines, heroin and more from more than a dozen individuals in Newark in the last week, they said. Couple Found Dead In Irvington Murder-Suicide
Two people died in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide Thursday, June 9 in Essex County, authorities said. Police responding to Adams Street in Irvington found Daquasha Jackson, 31, and Dane Lawrence, 32, dead with apparent gunshot wounds before dawn, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said. They were pronounced dead at 3:53 a.m. The investigation is active and ongoing. Several decks of heroin and six illegal firearms and more than $15,000 in drug money were seized from eight men in Newark, authorities announced.
