Adrianna Lopez remembers everything about the crash -- not that she wants to. Lopez was visiting her boyfriend's sister and her boyfriend on Ocean Avenue in Jersey City earlier this month when she spotted the 2019 Toyota Corolla heading right for them and her 2-year-old daughter. A 21-year-old New Jersey man is recovering at home after he was bit by a copperhead snake, landing him in the hospital for three days. Kevin Murray of Pennington tells Daily Voice he was two minutes from his car on the way back from a sunset hike at Baldpate Mountain in Titusville when he felt a stinging sensation in his left ankle on Aug. 5. Cyclist Critical After Being Struck In Asbury Park
A bicyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Asbury Park Friday morning. The victim, whose identification was being withheld, was struck at the intersection of Main Street and 4th Avenue around 11:50 a.m., Asbury Park Police Sgt. Michael Casey said. He was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition in the ICU as of Friday evening, Casey said. The victim suffered head trauma, authorities said. Orange Police Captain In Critical Condition After Crash
Officials in Orange cancelled the township council meeting Monday night out of respect for Capt. William Boggier, who suffered serious injuries in a vehicle crash earlier in the day. A city spokesman said Tuesday morning that Boggier was in the ICU at University Hospital in Newark. He was in critical condition. Woodbridge police confirmed the crash occurred as Boggier was riding his motorcycle in a funeral procession there.
