Possibly Bogus Calls Of Suicide, Shots Fired Clear Jersey City Building A Jersey City apartment building was evacuated Monday as police responded calls of shots fired and a suicide attempt, which authorities say could both be bogus. While city’s emergency services unit responded to 18 Winfield Ave. around 12:40 p.m. on reports of shots fired, a second distress call was made to a suicide hotline claiming the same address, City Spokeswoman Kim Wallace-Scalcione said.
