Pedestrian Leaving MNF Game On Route 3 Whacked In Head By Rental Truck Mirror
A man walking from MetLife Stadium on Route 3 after the Giants-Cowboys Monday Night Football game was clocked in the head by the mirror of a rental truck. The 29-year-old victim from North Bergen was headed eastbound near the Hackensack River bridge when he was whacked from behind by the mirror of a Ryder Chevy, East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. He tried to keep walking but required medical attention and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by East Rutherford EMS, the captain said. 2 Hospitalized In Head-On Morris County Crash (

Two people were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash with EMS and Rescue 1 and 2 in Long Valley during the afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Long Valley Fire Company No. 1 tended to a fluid spill while EMS crew members treated two patients at the scene and transported them to nearby hospitals, the squad said. Driver Hospitalized After SUV Rollover Near Paramus Mall
An SUV driver was hospitalized after a rollover crash near the Garden State Plaza. Firefighters had to extricate the Mazda driver after the early-lunchtime crash Tuesday on West Passaic Street in Rochelle Park, up the street from the northbound Garden State Parkway. US Coast Guard Rescues Fisherman Off Jersey Shore
A 46-year-old fisherman suffering a medical emergency was rescued off the Jersey Shore by members of the US Coast Guard from Barnegat and Atlantic City, authorities said. The rescue involved the fishing vessel "Captain John" about 45 miles east of Point Pleasant. A crew member aboard Captain John reportedly used a marine radio to notify Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders of the emergency at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6. Englewood firefighters extricated the driver of an SUV that hit a parked vehicle and landed on its side. The Honda CRV coincidentally struck another CRV before topping on Van Nostrand Avenue between Broad and Grand avenues just off westbound Route 4 around 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 25. Paramus' bravest are getting a welcome assist from a group of benevolent tradesmen in renovating one of their firehouses. Members of The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Local 253 who volunteered their services began this past weekend by installing new drywall in the second-floor meeting room and staircase leading to it at the Company 1 firehouse. Injured EMT Settles Suit Against Mountain Creek For $1.75 Million
An EMT who was injured in a fall while working at Mountain Creek reportedly settled a lawsuit against the resort for $1.75 million. Frank Villecco was working for Atlantic Health, which provided emergency medical services to the Vernon Township resort, when he slipped on water while bringing an injured skier into a medical room in March 2013, New Jersey Law Journal reported. Villecco suffered a herniated disc, which required fusion surgery, a spinal cord stimulator implant and pain medication for what became a chronic condition, his lawyer said.
