Newly-released bodycam footage shows the arrest of a 29-year-old driver who was twice the legal limit when he caused a path of destruction down a Bergen County street in a quiet neighborhood last May. The footage released by Transparency Bodycam on Sunday, July 28 shows the wreckage caused by Jean Lizardo along Mola Boulevard and Elmwood Park Drive shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, May 3. The teenage son of a Glen Rock councilwoman who's also a BergenPAC administrator remained hospitalized with severe injuries following a weekend car crash. Teddy Martin, 18, reportedly suffered a broken tibia and femur, as well as kidney and spleen lacerations, in the collision in Alexandria, NJ shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. Couple Killed In Parkway Crash With Snowplow
A man and woman from Lakewood were killed after crashing into a snowplow truck on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, authorities said. State police said an SUV driven by 29-year-old Eliyahu Naydavoud was heading north on the parkway in Tinton Falls around 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15. Guillermo Acevedo was biking to his second job in Jersey City when he was fatally struck by a vehicle on Saturday, Nov. 4, those who knew him said. Driver Hospitalized In Route 287 Wreck
A driver survived a nasty overnight crash on Route 287, authorities said. Firefighters extricated the motorist, who complained of pains in both legs after his Mazda SUV ran off the road and struck a sign and a tree on the highway's southbound side near mile marker #60 in Franklin Lakes at 1:47 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, the sergeant said.

27-Year-Old Man Killed In Route 78 Crash
A 27-year-old man from Hillsborough died in a crash on Route 78 Monday, Feb. 13, authorities said. Sebastian Hofmann was heading east in a Dodge pickup truck when he struck a Tesla around 10:10 p.m. in Warren Township, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The Tesla crossed the roadway to the left and struck a metal guardrail in impact while the Dodge ran off the road to the left and struck several trees and overturned. Hofmann was ejected and killed.
