A collision off Route 80 in Hackensack involving two vehicles left one driver hospitalized with minor injuries Tuesday morning, Nov. 12, authorities said. The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m., when a Kia sedan driven by a 35-year-old East Rutherford woman struck a traffic signal, which fell on top of the vehicle, according to Hackensack Police Chief Michael Antista. A Bergen County Bottle King employee was hospitalized with injuries suffered while trying to chase down a shoplifter Thursday night, Oct. 31, Daily Voice has learned. A driver and a passenger fled the scene of a crash with another vehicle on the NJ Turnpike in Bergen County Monday evening, Oct. 28, police said. The Toyota RAV4 and Audi Q3 collided in the northbound lanes at milepost 118.7 in Ridgefield Park around 6:55 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The driver and passenger of the Toyota fled the scene on foot and were picked up by an unknown vehicle before troopers arrived. No injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
