Shuttered Paramus Barnes & Noble To Reopen In Former Toys R Us Store
The shuttered Paramus Barnes & Noble is coming back to life. The treasured book store that long stood at 765 Route 17 south on the Ridgewood border will be replacing Big Lots! on Route 17 northbound, the store announced on Facebook. Big Lots ! is set to close in May, store associates tell Daily Voice. The space was formerly home to Toys 'R' Us. "While we are sad to leave this location, we are excited for our next chapter," the store said. Barnes & Noble of Paramus broke hearts last January when it announced it would be closing.

Amazon Fulfillment Center Replacing Vacant Jersey Shore Sears Store
Amazon plans to open another fulfillment center in Central Jersey at the site of a vacant Sears store. The approximately 93,000-square-foot Monmouth County location — at Seaview Square Shopping Center in Ocean Township — is expected to open in October, Mayor Chris Siciliano told NJ Advance Media. “It’s a win-win for us and for Amazon," Siciliano told NJ.com. Authorities: Man Caught Taking Upskirt Pics In Route 46 Store Tries To Fool Police
A man accused of taking an upskirt photo of a customer in a Big Lots store on Route 46 tried to fool police by changing his shirt, authorities said. The thing was: Jalen Torres, 25, of Passaic was carrying the shirt the victim said he was wearing at the time, they said. The 31-year-old victim from New York told police she was shopping with her young child in the Clifton store when she “felt something touch her leg,” Detective Sgt. Big Lots Taking Over Paramus Toys R Us
Big Lots is on its way to Paramus. The discount chain last year purchased the remaining 12-year lease on the 36,000-square-foot Toys R Us store on Ridgewood Avenue for $2.75 million, according to TheRealDeal.com. That's $6.50 per square foot annually, compared to $30 (had the chain signed a new lease on a larger space). The vacant space was transformed into a Spirit Halloween store last fall. Big Lots is known across 47 states for its closeout buys and massive furniture markdowns. No word yet on opening date.
