The 2015 statistic represented the highest graduation rate the high school has reached in the past five years, according to northjersey.com, which added the figure represented an increase of 8 percent compared to 2014.
According the district's superintendent, Wallington's graduation rate far surpassed several surrounding high schools, including Lodi High School (93.7 percent), Becton Regional High School (92.8 percent), Hasbrouck Heights High School (92.7 percent), Wood-Ridge High School (91.5 percent) and Garfield High School (85.7 percent), according to northjersey.com.
Wallington School Principal Fred Fromfield attributed the improvement to a "thoughtful review of curriculum" by the school's teachers, supervisors and administrators to identify students' needs, according to northjersey.com.
