Wallington Woman Found On Bedroom Floor Rescued From House Fire

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Wallington firefighters rescued a woman found on her second-floor bedroom floor during a Saturday night house fire, responders said.

The unresponsive but breathing 60-something woman was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic after the Roehrs Drive blaze broke out at 7:47 p.m., responders said. Her dog was injured, as well, they said.

Firefighters contained the fire to the kitchen, one told Daily Voice.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Arson Investigation Squad responded along with borough firefighters and the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad.
