Wallington Retiree Admits Buying Live Webcams Of Child Sex

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- A Wallington retiree admitted in federal court on Thursday that he bought live webcams of children having sex.

A U.S. District Court judge in Newark released Stephen Hallett, 66, on a $125,000 unsecured bond pending sentencing on Jan. 11, 2018.

Hallett told the judge that he bought dozens of live shows from purveyors in the Philippines and elsewhere between 2013 and February 2015.

Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick credited special agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with the investigation.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle Alfonzo Walsman secured the plea deal with Hallett's lawyer.
