Officer Kasper Zielinski stopped Ford E-150 van driven by 47-year-old Craig Marotta for a busted tail light, Lt. Shawn Kudlacik said.
Marotta didn't provide any documents but gave the officer his brother's name, date of birth and address, he said.
Earlier this week, Marotta went to police headquarters with a batch of tickets Zielinski gave him.
That's when the officer discovered the Marotta had used the bogus name because his license was suspended.
He charged Marotta with hindering and providing false reports to law enforcement, while giving him additional summonses. A June 6 court date was set.
