Police Sgt. Tomasz Kruk and Officer Peter Zagaja were both released from Hackensack University Medical Center -- one with a knee injury and cut on his hand and the other with an ankle injury -- shortly after the car barreled into the Main Street store at 7:20 a.m., said Anthony Cureton of the the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert Devlin, 64, was processed by sheriff's officers and released on a court summons charging him with assault by auto and DWI, he told Daily Voice.
Sheriff's officers impounded the two-tone ragtop, which Cureton said went more than a dozen feet into the store -- upending one of the officers -- before Devlin tried to back it out.
