Responding to her neighbor’s call yesterday at the Jasontown Apartment complex, Officer Victor Urgiles spoke with Theresa Porcelli, who admitted taking the shirt package, opening it and then discarding what she found inside, Lt. Shawn Kudlacik told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

The neighbor ordered a second package and collected it before Porcelli,48, could get it, Kudlacik said.

“She watched UPS trucks through the window, and when they delivered packages, she brought them inside,” he said. “Then she’d see what was inside, repackage it and throw it away.

“She never kept any of the merchandise, even if she could use it.”

Asked why, he said, she replied: “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Urgiles issued Porcelli a summons for theft, to be answered on April 20 in Municipal Court.
