Anthony C. Dunleavy was arrested by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Lyndhurst police after the victim reported the alleged incident yesterday, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
The woman said she met Dunleavy at a borough “establishment” Sunday night, and that they were alone in his car later after midnight when he “forced [her] to engage in sexual activities against her will at knifepoint,” Molinelli said.

She eventually got out of the car and immediately called 911 while Dunleavy fled on foot, the prosecutor said.
After receiving the 911 call, Lyndhurst Police tracked him down, Molinelli said. He was taken into custody and soon after charged with:
- aggravated sexual assault with a weapon;
- criminal restraint/servitude;
- threatening to kill;
- coercion by threat of injury;
- illegal weapons possession.
Dunleavy, who is married and unemployed, has a first appearance scheduled in Lyndhurst Municipal Court next Tuesday.
