Officer Joseph Lanfrank smelled burnt marijuana after stopping Grzegorz Kociubinski Tuesday afternoon, Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti said.

After being ordered from the car, Kociubinski told the officer he was carrying two capped syringes in his underwear, Scorzetti said.

A consented search also turned up two folds of heroin in the car, the captain said.

Elmwood Park police who arrested Kociubinski last month charged him with drug possession and child endangerment and filed a delinquency complaint against the girl who they said was with him following a traffic stop that turned up heroin and a small amount of marijuana.

Kociubinski posted $2,500 bail yesterday, along with $81 owed from an outstanding Lyndhurst warrant, and was released from the Bergen County Jail. Lodi police charged him with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
