Video: Wallington Police Charge Paterson Man In Van Burglary

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Wallington police arrested a Paterson man who they said was captured on video taking tools and electronics from a parked work van.

Estanislao Penaloza, 31, was ordered held in the Bergen County Jail and then released by a judge less than 24 hours later pending a court hearing next month, records show.

Police charged him with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief, among other offenses.

The van, parked on Lincoln Place, was broken into on July 29.

Taken were a pair of work boots, a drill, and a handheld scanner for cable TV installation -- worth more than $1,000 combined -- as well as various hand tools, the owner told Daily Voice.
