The plain-clothed officers stopped 37-year-old Jaysen P. Williams of Newark outside Terminal C around 8:30 p.m., the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this morning.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound Williams — who was arrested for the same crime at the airport in February — admitted that the bags weren’t his, Pentangelo said.

Williams, who has 40 prior arrests on his record, was charged with theft and trespassing. He was being held in the Essex County Jail.
