Craig Marotta was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Garfield when Officer Kasper Zielinski spotted him around 2:30 a.m. July 23, Lt. Shawn Kudlacik said Tuesday.
Zielinski had arrested Marotta in May after he tried to pay a batch of traffic tickets using his brother's name because his license was suspended when he was stopped driving a Ford van with a broken taillight days earlier, Kudlacik said at the time.
This time, after taking Marotta into custody on the $1,967 Garfield warrant, Zielinski found him carrying a crack pipe and illegal prescription drugs, the lieutenant said.
The officer charged Marotta with various drug-related offenses.
A judge ordered him held on $2,500 bail.
