Officer Chris Cuneo could see "cash strewn all over" the 2008 Ford Explorer that was headed east on Kingsland Avenue with a cracked tail light and inoperable third brake light when he stopped it Tuesday afternoon near Tenth Street, Capt. John Valente told Daily Voice.

The crack was found in the vehicle and on the passenger, identified as Edda Vasquez, 35, he said.

She and driver Shawn Beachum, 37, were taken into custody and the SUV impounded after a search by Bergen County Sheriff’s Officer Rob Mantone and K-9 Mike.

Both were being held in the Bergen County Jail -- Beachum on $25,000 bail and Vasquez on $20,000 bail, on a variety of drug-related charges.

Beacham also was charged with weapons possession for a pair of brass knuckles, Valente said.
