DO YOU KNOW THIS MAN? A witness helped produce what can be considered an extremely reliable sketch of a hit and run driver who killed a popular Butler bodybuilder on Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen last month.

There’s a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

The heavy-set driver — whose sketch shows a distinctive mole on the left side of his mouth — apparently spoke to or was overheard by the witness, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has found.

He has an olive complexion, brown hair and dark eyes and could be between 50 and 70, 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall and roughly 220 to 250 pounds, the witness told police.

The car struck Omar Monroig as he and a friend crossed the busy roadway between 51st and 52nd streets just before midnight on March 23.

The vehicle sped off with extensive front end and windshield damages.

“The injuries were quite extensive,” a co-worker at Alcatel-Lucent, where Monroig worked as a project manager, told CLIFFVIEW PILOT within hours of his death two weeks ago.

Monroig turned 42 on March 21 and was headed to the Havana Dulce restaurant when he was struck.

According to North Bergen spokesman Phil Swibinski, the dark-colored northbound car — possibly an early-2000-era Toyota — carried Monroig 35 yards before stopping.

Frustrated by a lack of leads, Monroig’s family posted the reward.

Police asked that anyone with information about the crash call the NBPD’s Traffic Division: (201) 392-2135 or the Detective Bureau: 201-392-2095.
