Wladyslawa Cwikla (Kolodziej), 96, Wallington Resident

WALLINGTON, N.J. – Wladyslawa Cwikla (Kolodziej), of Wallington, died Wednesday, Jan. 20. She was 96.

Born in Kraszkowice, Poland, she lived there and in Germany before coming to the United States in 1956. She was a World War II survivor. She was a seamstress for Val Mode Company in Passaic for 25 years and retired in 1983. She was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Wallington and a member of the Wallington Senior Citizens.

She was the mother of Marian Cwikla, and his wife, Arlene, of Wayne; and Christine Badura, and her husband Jan, of Mahwah; grandmother of Kathryne and Alexander Badura, Carol Ann Husdon, and her husband, Kevin; great-grandchildren Liam, Grace and Caedmon Hudson; sister of Jan Kolodziej, Janina Lech and Zofia Olak, all in Poland; aunt of Bozena Lozowska, and her husband, Zygmunt, and many nieces and nephews in Poland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Czeslaw Cwikla; and two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Kamienski Funeral Home of Wallington, 106 Locust Ave., Wallington. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 127 Paterson Ave., Wallington. Interment will take place at St. Michaels Cemetery, South Hackensack.
