Nicholas J. Paganelli, 81, Of North Arlington

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Nicholas J. Paganelli, 81, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic. 

Born in Queens, N.Y. he lived in Belleville before moving to North Arlington more than 60 years ago. He worked as a driver for Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield before retiring five years ago. 

Paganelli served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Packard Classic Car Club of America and the Italian American Club of Kearny.

He was the husband for 60 years of Angela (nee Giovia ); father of Sylvia Orovio and her husband John, Angela Radice and her husband Gary and Nicholas P. Paganelli and his wife Coreyanne; grandfather of Mark Orovio, Daniel Orovio and his wife Marcia, Nicholas Paganelli and his wife Melissa, Kyle Paganelli and his wife Nicole, Jason and Shawn Paganelli; and great-grandfather of Giovanni, Gabriella, Nicholas, Kane, Anthony and Kylee. He also is survived by his caregiver, Elizabeth Cespedes and his loving dog, Riley. 

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington, thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 10 Franklin Place, North Arlington for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
