George Edwin Seegers, 73, Of North Arlington

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- George Edwin Seegers, a resident of North Arlington, died Saturday, April 2. He was 73.

He was born in Kearny, N.J., where he attended Queen of Peace High School and went on to receive a degree in Mathematics from St. Peters College and a Masters from Rutgers University. He worked as Chief Administrative Officer for Citigroup in New York, Deputy Corporate Secretary for Citigroup and retired as President for Citigroup in Florida. He served in the United States Army as a second Lieutenant, Paratrooper and Army Intelligence Officer seeing combat in the Dominican Republic.

He is survived by wife Linda Courier Seegers; children Scott Seegers (Molly), Amie Seegers, Pete Seegers (Liz) , Sarah Karlo (Chris), Michael Seegers (Anna Kontos), Audra Courier Nasser (Dan), Jim Courier (Susanna), Kris Courier (Mary Beth); and their grandchildren Patrick, Jack, Cooper, Michael, Garrett, Teddy and Alex Seegers ; Charlie, Michael and G. Cade Karlo; Jordan, Jonathan and Daniella Nasser; Lane and Kellan Courier; brothers Ronald, David, Tom and John Seegers.

He was predeceased by his first wife Noreen Ford Seegers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Saturday, April 9 from 10-11:45 a.m. Graveside services and burial to immediately follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harlem Jr. Tennis Association and Education Program c/o Harlem Armory Center 40 W. 143rd St., N.Y., N.Y. 10037, or the Michael J. Fox Organization for Parkinson's Research.
