Ernest Ordas, 91, Of Wallington

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Ernest Ordas, 91, of Wallington, died Saturday, Sept. 17. 

He was born 1925, in Garfield. 

After he graduated high school, he served in the U.S. Army in the 76th Infantry Division in World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. 

He was a traffic manager at Fine Organics/Hexcel for 35 years. He was a New York Mets fan for more than 50 years. 

He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Curry and her husband, Rob, and Carolyn Flaherty and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Ian Curry, Shane Curry, Holly Flaherty and Amber Flaherty. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian; and his parents, Louis and Elizabeth Ordas. 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lodi Cemetery.
