Clementina Cruz, 76, Former North Arlington Resident

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Clementina (Belo) Cruz -- a Surf City, North Carolina, resident, formerly of North Arlington -- died on Monday, March 21. She was 76.

Born in Portugal, Cruz was a talented seamstress who loved to crochet, needlepoint and knit. She worked as a seamstress for many manufacturers in Jersey City and Newark before retiring 20 years ago.

Cruz is survived by her daughters, Nancy Ferrero of Hewitt, and Suzy Marotta and her husband Edward of North Caldwell, and her grandchildren, John and Victor Ferrero, and Gabriella and Angelica Marotta. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor.

Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., in North Arlington. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in North Arlington, for the blessing at noon. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, also in North Arlington.
