Guzio was born in Maryland and has been a resident of Lyndhurst.
He was studied at the Animal Behavior in College and was an active volunteer with Grateful Doggies Canine Freedom Transport out of Fair Lawn.
The organization founder Steve Quilliam said Guzio left his mark wherever he went.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Sheppard; his mother, Susan Klein; children Parker Guzio, Charles William Guzio and Grayson Guzio; his sister Allison Guzio-Haraziml.
A memorial service and visitation will be on Feb. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nazare Memorial Home. Cremation was private.
