Antonio Zicchinella, 76, Of Wallington

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Antonio Zicchinella, of Wallington, died Sunday, Aug. 28. He was 76. 

He was born in Calabria, Italy to Giosofatto and Anna (nee Fiorentino) Zicchinella. 

When he was a young man, he served in the Italian Army. 

In 1974, he founded Tony’s Auto Body in Union City, which he operated and lived for 50 years. 

He will be deeply missed by his wife Tina Zicchinella; children, Anna Mascaro and her husband Massimo Loprete of Catanzaro, Italy, Joseph Zicchinella and his wife Laetitia and David Zicchinella and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Massimiliano, Joseph, Siena, Mia and Jack; and siblings, Nicola in the United States and Mimmo, Maria and Rosa in Italy. 

Her funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
