Benarick worked as a nurse for 40 years, before retiring from West Hudson Hospital in Kearny 10 years ago. She loved to help people and was a huge animal lover.
She is survived by her children, Gregory Benarick and his wife Monica, and Jeffrey Benarick and his wife Heather; and grandchildren Gregory Jr., Ashley, Courtney, Brayden and Brooke.
Benarick was predeceased by her former husband, Thomas Benarick.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., in North Arlington. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m., then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in North Arlington, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, also in North Arlington.
