Applicants must have certification by the state of New Jersey as an emergency medical technician, have a valid motor vehicle operator's license, cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification meeting American Heart Association standards, ICS-100 and 200, and hazardous materials awareness.
Applicatns also must be able to pass a background check and physical.
Applications are available on the town's website or at the Lyndhurst Tax Office, 367 Valley Brook Ave.
The application deadline is Oct. 21.
