The page was created on Jan. 7 and since then, more than 570 people have donated money — setting Iacono only $8,000 away from her goal in helping Steven Alves of Harrison get a prosthetic leg.

"My brother is a sweet, thoughtful, and caring person that is always willing to help his friends, family, or even a stranger," Iacono wrote on the GoFundMe page.

"He is full of life and I want him to continue doing the things that make him the happiest."
