North Arlington Organizes Hearing Loss Seminar

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. — The North Arlington Health Department is holding a seminar on hearing loss featuring ear, nose and throat specialist Derrick Wallace, MD on Thursday, May 19 at noon.

Wallace will discuss how hearing loss affects the health of functioning older adults and explain the roles different modalities — or hearing aids — have in mitigating these effects.

The physician will also describe how hearing loss may be associated with cognition; dementia, functional decline and social isolation.

The program is free and lunch will be served.
