Lyndhurst Health Department Organizes Seminar for Stroke Awareness Month

LYNDHURST, N.J. -- A stroke seminar will be held at the Carucci Building in Lyndhurst on Friday, May 13. The Lyndhurst Health Department, under the direction of Mayor Robert B. Giangeruso, will host the seminar in recognition of May as National Stroke Awareness Month.

Stroke is the third leading cause of disability in America. Participants can learn how to prevent and recognize stroke with Clara Maass Medical Center medical expert Ronnie D. Castro, MSN, RN Director. 

Free blood pressure screenings will be provided, and a light breakfast will be served. 

The session starts at 10 a.m. and pre-registration is required. Call the Lyndhurst Health Department to register at 201-804-2500.
