Having spent the majority of her adult life working for a furniture company, she had finally had enough.
"It had been festering for a while," said Zamani of Clifton.
"There was something I knew I wanted to do and it wasn’t traveling to a warehouse and telling people what to do."
Moon Child Yoga is housed out of BecomeOne Wholeness studio in Lyndhurst.
Yoga has existed for a long time, but Moon Child Yoga focuses on what children can gain from similar exercises.
"It’s not just postures — we also work with mindfulness and how to be aware. It helps with coping with stress," Zamani said.
The program is more than increasing flexibility and blood flow, it helps with mental development.
"It’s great to see kids interact with each other and coming from an open minded place. It gives the shyer kid some self-esteem," Zamani said.
Zamani takes kids anywhere from 4 to 14 years old. Her current students fit all across that spectrum of ages.
